National Champions...again!

That's right! The University of Alabama are the BCS National Champions! This makes a total of 14 National Championships for the Tide. I'm sure every Auburn fan out there is sick of hearing about it already... and it's only been 2 days. So if you are one of those fans, feel free to stop reading now... this will only make you feel worse. :)

Kayla came over  to watch the game on the new TV that Josh and I got for Christmas. We had a blast! Biscuit was not going to miss out on any of the fun. He wore his Bama jersey and watched the game with us. He also showed his lack of love for tigers of all kinds by demolishing this one! We are so proud!!

To all the haters that were very vocal about how Bama didn't belong in the championship and how someone else deserved to get beat by LSU since we had already  gotten our beating I have something to say: 21-ZERO people! The first BCS Bowl game to be a shut-out! OK State couldn't beat Iowa State. They would  have been demolished by LSU. We were one of the two best teams in the country... and that was obvious Monday night. We lost by a field goal in overtime the first time. This time we shut them down completly... only passing the 50 yard line once!!

Some of my favorite images from the game courtesy of al.com:

AJ completes a pass with a LSU defender wrapped around his legs.

Norwood catches a beautiful ball just out of reach of the "Honey Badger"
Note the looks on the faces of the LSU coaches... Ha!

RTR= Run Trent, Run!
Good block, Brad Smelly!

"It's Good!"

I love this one... 6 of the good guys in on this tackle.

No where to go Honey Badger... Dre Kirkpatrick shut that down.

Kirkpatrick was everywhere!

After the trophy was presented to the winners... the Tide!
Dre Kirkpatrick, Courtney Upshaw, and Trent Richardson.

ROLL TIDE, ROLL!!!

Happy 2012!

Well, we have decided that the time has come for us to start a blog... I know, I know. I have put it off for as long as I could. Here goes... :)

We had a wonderful Christmas spent with our family. Josh was able to spend Christmas Eve with his parents and Granny while I slept off the work-night before. One of our Christmas traditions we started our first Christmas together is reading the Christmas story together, so that's what we did when he got back home.

Christmas morning we went to my parents to spend the day with my family. We love Christmas at home because Mom knows just how to celebrate the birth of our Savior. We have a laid back day of doing everything in our pajamas... we ate breakfast, opened gifts, enjoyed each other's company, then ate lunch (this year we had Daddy's chicken fingers, mashed potatoes, mac n cheese, and chocolate chip cheesecake.) After lunch we all took a nap, played games, watched movies, and had left-overs for lunch. The only part of the day I didn't care for was when Daddy won the game of Mexican Train we played. :)

This new year has been great so far. We are both blessed to be healthy, to both have jobs, to both have families and friends that love us, and most of all we are blessed to have each other. Josh, my love for you grows deeper every day, and I thank God every day for putting you in my life... I don't know where I'd be without you and I don't like to think about it.

Hopefully tomorrow I will be able to blog about a blessing of  a FOURTEENTH National Championship!
ROLL TIDE!!!
